Hardener for pure epoxy powder coatings | ||||||
JietondaSA31 is 2-phenyl imidazoline, which can be used as an epoxy resin hardener or an accelerator in powder coatings. It is also a raw material for manufacturing matting hardener such as M68 (a salt of 2-phenyl imidazoline and pyromellitic acid). | ||||||

| 2.Characteristics | ||||||
Can achieve fully cross-linkage at low or high curing temperatures
such as 140℃/30 min or 240℃/30 sec when it is used as main hardener
for pure epoxy resin powder coatings. In order to reduce curing temperatures or shorten curing times, it can be incorporated into epoxy resin powder coatings by replacing parts of dicyandiamide or substituted dicyandiamide such as JietondaSA284. For hybrid system, usually it is used as an accelerator to add to powder composition directly. As a modifier of surface gloss, the gloss levels of coating can be adjusted by replacing parts of Matting Agent such as M68 in powder coating. | ||||||
| 3.Use level | ||||||
The use level is 6-7 parts by 100 weight parts of epoxy resin
(E.E.W700-900). As an accelerator, 0.2 -1.0 parts by 100 weight parts of binder. | ||||||
| 4.Storage | ||||||
Store in temperature between 2 and 30℃ or cool dry place to avoid
wetting-absorption and caking. Keep package closed after using.
Keep away from fire. | ||||||
